Position Details

The Palos Park Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Part-Time Police Officer.

We are currently accepting applications for the position of Part-Time Officer.

Applicants must be available to work afternoon and overnight shifts, including weekends. Shift hours will primarily be between the hours 4 PM and 6 AM broken into 6, 8, or 12-hour shifts.

You must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Must be a citizen of the United States
• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent high school education
• Must be at least twenty (21) years of age
• Must have a Valid Driver's License
• Must have a Valid Firearms Owner Identification Card (FOID)
• Must be a Certified Police Officer through the State of Illinois having attended a ILETSB recognized basic Police Academy (full or part-time academy) 

Retired law enforcement officers are encouraged to apply.
