Position Details

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Submit the $20 non-refundable application fee by the application deadline, 4:30 p.m. on 09/16/2019.
• At least 20 years of age at time of the written exam and have not reached your 35th birthday by the date of the written exam 10/12/2019. (See Public Act 097-0251, Section 10-1-7, D & I for exceptions.)
• Associates Degree, 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of college credit from an accredited college or university, OR 2 years of active military service, OR equivalent of both
• Valid P.O.W.E.R. (Illinois Peace Officer Wellness Evaluation Report) card issued between (October 12, 2018 – October 12, 2019)
• Valid Driver's License & the ability to obtain a Firearm/Weapon License
• No felony convictions and good moral character
• 35-mile residency requirement after one year of hire
• English/Spanish fluency is a plus

A valid Driver's License, a copy of your official transcripts from your college/university OR proof of 2 years of active military service, OR an equivalent of both AND a copy of your P.O.W.E.R. card dated (between October 12, 2018 – October 12, 2019) must be presented upon check in at the Written Exam on October 12, 2019.
