Part-Time Firefighter/Paramedic

Salary:

$21.00 per hour

The Flossmoor Fire Department is looking to hire

Part-Time Firefighter/Paramedics.

To be considered for employment,

candidates must meet all of the following requirements:

• Possess a high school degree or GED

• Possess a valid driver’s license

• Successfully complete an interview, background investigation and a pre-employment physical examination

• Must possess both an Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) Firefighter II, AND Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Paramedic Certification at the time of hire (Prefer candidates to have Firefighter III and Fire Apparatus Engineer)

• Must fully complete all application paperwork; including attaching copies of certifications

• No residency required

The Flossmoor Fire Department provides fire and emergency medical services to the Village of Flossmoor and the Sunnycrest Fire Protection District, which encompasses approximately 4 square miles. The department is comprised of full-time career, full-time contract, part-time firefighter/paramedic and volunteer/paid-on-call staffing.
